International Day of Yoga

This is a free event, however booking is essential as numbers will be limited.  Although there is no charge to book we will be asking you to make a donation either online using the link below or you can bring a cash donation on the day.

Every year on the 21st June we come together to celebrate International Day of Yoga and the Summer Solstice by offering a free event, while promoting or supporting a local charity or fundraiser.  We offer our time for free and instead of paying us we ask you to donate whatever you can afford to the chosen cause.

During the afternoon we will come together to celebrate our love of yoga and community.  We will practice a combination of breathwork, meditation, hatha yoga & yin yoga and of course we will end with a blissful guided relaxation. 

Everyone is welcome to join us.  From complete beginners to yoga teachers and practitioners.  The focus of this practice is love, support and community.  You can come and do a little or do a lot.  You will be encouraged to take whatever you need from this practice, to make it your own in order to love, support and honour your own body and mind while coming together in the spirit of community.

All funds are special to us but this year is very close to all our hearts.  This year all donations will go to help our dear friend Anne Marie Ferris to access life saving Cancer treatment.

Anne Marie is a truly beautiful soul, she is a fellow yoga teacher, therapist, author and has been helping children and adults to reduce stress, anxiety and improve their mental and physical health for most of her working life.  

When I first met Anne Marie a couple of years ago at a workshop I was immediately captivated by her energy, enthusiam and joy.  She literally lit up the room and was an absolute pleasure to be around.  She was so encouraging and complimentary to others, the type of person that just made you feel good.  

Unfortunately, she is now facing a very difficult journey of her own and it is time for us to direct some of that energy, support and love back to her.  So I ask you to please give whatever you can so that she may continue to receive all the help and treatment that is available to keep her light shining.  The world is a brighter place with her in it.
